Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best way to contact you about establishing treatment or for on-going scheduling needs?
If you are an established client, the best way to communicate with me is through the secure messaging feature in the client portal. There you can confirm, cancel, or request a new time for your upcoming appointment. Please do not use my email or phone to discuss treatment related concerns.
if you are a new client, please utilize the client portal to request a 15 minute phone consultation at a time that is available and convenient for you. Please limit email and phone communication to this initial phase of establishing care.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please navigate to the home or contact page of this site and press any button labeled "Get Started", select a time that works for you, and then we can get started with a free 15 minute consultation call.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy and late cancellations and no-shows will result in you being billed for the full amount of your scheduled session. Please utilize the cancel session and request new session options in the client portal in advance in order to avoid being billed for the full amount.
Will my health insurance cover counseling? How do I pay?
I do not accept insurance directly, however, I can provide a statement of services for you to submit to your insurance company - please inquire with your company to determine your reimbursement plan for out of network providers. All major credit cards including payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are accepted.
Will your fees for counseling services ever increase?
I evaluate my fees throughout the year based on changes in the cost of running my business, and implement the change several months later. You will be notified several months in advance of any changes.
What is a "Good Faith Estimate"?
You are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here.
